Tonight I tried a new restaurant and enjoyed one of the best burgers ever! I wish I could have taken a pic but the lighting was too low for a good snapshot.
It had crumbled blue cheese, crispy bacon, and as I requested, they melted a couple slices of American cheese on top and brought it to me with mayo on the side. Yummo, it was so delicious!
I love how easy it is to eat low carb just about anywhere. If they’ve got burgers on the menu, you can ask them to bring that burger to you just the way you want it. If you’re like me that sounds like “No ketchup or onions, extra pickles, tomato, cheese and mayo on the side – oh, and please hold the bun!”
If your burger comes with fries, ask if you can exchange them for some cottage cheese or broccoli.
By the way, I also order burgers without a bun at McDonalds. They’re happy to serve it that way. But, I discovered this week that they’re charging me an extra thirty cents to add mayo – even though I asked them to hold the ketchup, onions and bun! (Seems like that ought to be fair trade, right?)
